About Me

My name is Monica Henry and I’m not your typical organizing or decluttering specialist. I wasn’t obsessed with organizing and cleaning as a child. In fact, I was once a non-believer. I didn’t recognize the impact of clutter in my life. Although, I was far from being a hoarder, I discovered that my weakness was paper. I thought I had to keep every bank statement, training document, and note from my 8th grade crush. Finally deciding that I had to do something about my paper collection,  I embarked on the huge task of clearing my clutter, starting with my papers. As I pulled papers from Rubbermaid containers, drawers, boxes, and shelves I was shocked and in awe at the size of the paper pile on my floor. The realization hit me: Those “important papers” had been following me for 15 years!

That was the moment I decided to let it go. It was time to re-evaluate ALL of my possessions. Not just the papers, but everything I owned. I recycled or discarded many items and was able to reuse/repurpose a fair amount, but discovering that I could donate many items to local charities brought me an extreme sense of satisfaction.  It felt awesome to know that passing on my once treasured items could help others! And hence, my love for less was born.

Becoming a decluttering specialist allows me to help more people experience the awesome feeling of decluttering and living with less. It has allowed me to help some really awesome and interesting people! The sense of accomplishment that my clients feel at the end of my sessions is contagious and often emotional(Yes, I’ve been known to shed few tears of joy with clients) and I love knowing that my process and gentle pushing helped them achieve their personal decluttering goals!
